Manama: Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), chaired the fifth round of the Bahrain-United States Strategic Dialogue, held via videoconference, alongside Monica Jacobsen, Senior Official at the Counterterrorism Bureau of the United States Department of State. The meeting was attended by Stephanie L. Hallett, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman emphasized the significance of the meeting in continuing the outcomes from the visit of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, to the United States. This visit had highlighted the necessity to strengthen security cooperation and coordination frameworks between the two nations.
The discussions at the meeting centered on addressing emerging and transnational threats and exploring areas of joint security cooperation. These efforts are aimed at enhancing security and stability while advancing the shared interests of Bahrain and the United States.
The meeting was attended by Major General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security, and Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the Financial Intelligence National Centre, alongside officials from both sides.
