Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Henning Georg Simon, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Major General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security, attended the meeting.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Interior Minister commended the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Germany, which serve the interests of both countries. The meeting discussed bilateral security cooperation and coordination programmes, as well as topics aimed at developing joint work.
