Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), to discuss national security matters and cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police. The Interior Minister commended the BDF for its preparedness and combat readiness, emphasizing its role in protecting the Kingdom against Iranian aggression.
General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah highlighted the BDF's responsibilities under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The discussion also focused on enhancing cooperation between the BDF and the Ministry of Interior to ensure continued security and stability in the region.
