Manama: The Ministry of Interior stated that the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security arrested a 27-year-old individual for misusing social media by posting content produced using artificial intelligence technologies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the content included false claims, false information, and fabricated scenes, and contained incitement and offensive material that could affect public opinion and undermine civil peace and community stability. Legal procedures have been taken against the individual, pending referral to the Public Prosecution.
