Gudaibiya: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, presided over the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the 29th anniversary of the founding of the National Guard.
The meeting reviewed progress on the Crown Prince's directives for the Ministry of Labour to provide three job opportunities for every registered job seeker by the end of 2025, aligning with the King's vision for employment opportunities for Bahraini citizens. To date, three job opportunities were offered to 18,657 job seekers with 4,746 citizens employed.
The Cabinet also addressed the Crown Prince's order for the Ministry of Social Development to enhance financial support for low-income families via the cost-of-living allowance, commencing this month. The Cabinet noted the economic success of the Celebrate Bahrain Season, expressing gratitude to government agencies and private sector sponsors.
Furthermore, the Cabinet celebrated Bahrain International Airport's five-star rating from Skytrax for the fifth consecutive year. Additionally, the Cabinet welcomed the Yemeni initiative for a conference to discuss solutions to the southern parties' issues and expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia for hosting this conference to support regional stability.
The Cabinet approved several memoranda, including a draft resolution amending provisions for the National Committee for Geospatial Information Governance, Bahrain's Quarterly Economic Report showing a 4.0% GDP growth in the third quarter of 2025, and designating the Minister responsible for the National Arts Council.
Additionally, the Cabinet reviewed the Government's response to proposals from the Council of Representatives and the progress of the 2022-2026 Tourism Sector Strategy. Reports on Bahrain's participation in the Future Games 2025, the Digital Sports Summit, and various external engagements by Ministers were also reviewed.
