Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting highlighted several key topics, including the significance of a recent joint military exercise and ongoing peace efforts in international conflicts.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet emphasized the importance of the "Rabdan Shuwaiman" joint military exercise between Bahrain and the UAE, attended by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This exercise underscores the historical cooperation between Bahrain and the UAE.
The Cabinet commended His Majesty the King for his address during a meeting with citizens, athletes, and officials involved in the Third Asian Youth Games. Congratulations were also extended to those honoured in the 13th eGovernment Excellence Award 2025, aligning with Bahrain's 30-year internet milestone.
The meeting reviewed preparations for the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, chaired by His Majesty the King, and the summit's draft agenda. The Cabinet also welcomed peace efforts led by US President Donald Trump to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict through diplomatic and humanitarian measures.
Several memorandums were reviewed and approved, including a draft resolution to form a National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons of Mass Destruction and agreements involving the Ministry of Education, the International Baccalaureate Organization, and the University of Cambridge.
The Cabinet also discussed frameworks for priority programmes in financial, economic, and legislative affairs, and noted reports on Bahrain's participation in international conferences and visits, including the European Refining Technology Conference and the Misk Global Forum.
