HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Engages with Outgoing UK Ambassador in Bahrain

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with His Excellency Alastair Long, the outgoing Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Gudaibiya Palace. His Royal Highness emphasized the significant relationship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, noting the progress in bilateral cooperation through strategic partnerships and joint agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).

According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the shared commitment of both nations to enhancing cooperation and coordination to support shared aspirations and mutual interests. His Royal Highness expressed gratitude for HE Long's contributions during his tenure in bolstering Bahrain-UK relations and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister acknowledged the important role of the UK, along with its allies, in supporting efforts to counteract hostile Iranian activities, ensuring security and stability, and promoting regional and international development. The meeting also covered the latest regional and international developments and other issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court; His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; and several senior officials.
