Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with representatives from the top 100 institutions employing the most Bahrainis in 2025, at Gudaibiya Palace. His Royal Highness emphasized the priority of creating quality job opportunities for Bahrainis through initiatives that enhance national workforce participation, under the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reiterated the national commitment to invest in social services supporting citizens. He highlighted the private sector’s critical role in achieving the Kingdom’s economic development goals, particularly in job creation for Bahrainis and labor market enhancement.
In line with HRH’s directive to the Ministry of Labour, three job opportunities were offered to all job seekers registered with the Ministry, resulting in 5,078 citizens employed under the initiative to date. This initiative has been pivotal in strengthening the Kingdom’s labor market over the past year, with 26,963 Bahrainis employed, surpassing the annual target of 25,000. New entrants to the labor market totaled 9,149, exceeding the target of 8,000.
The Cabinet has tasked the Ministry of Labour to increase its efforts to employ 25,000 Bahrainis in 2026, ensuring that 10,000 are new entrants during the same year. This will be achieved by bolstering existing partnerships with the private sector.
HRH Prince Salman expressed gratitude to the companies and institutions for their contributions in employing Bahrainis, acknowledging their cooperation as part of Team Bahrain. He also expressed pride in the public-private sector partnership, which has historically contributed to the Kingdom’s development.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several senior officials.
