Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, who is visiting the Kingdom. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was present during the meeting.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HM the King focused on exploring ways to enhance the longstanding partnership between Bahrain and India. Discussions centered around opportunities to develop cooperation across various domains, emphasizing the strong foundations of cooperation, respect, and understanding that have characterized the Bahraini-Indian relations for decades.
His Majesty expressed gratitude for India's support to Bahrain following the Iranian aggression and acknowledged its efforts within the international community to maintain security and stability, contributing to global peace. The meeting also covered discussions on regional and international developments of mutual interest, particularly the latest developments in the region and efforts to bolster security, stability, and peace.
In response, the Indian External Affairs Minister praised His Majesty's efforts in fostering close relations between the two countries, highlighting the benefits for their peoples. Dr. Jaishankar also conveyed greetings and appreciation from President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, along with their wishes for Bahrain and its people to enjoy continued progress and prosperity. In turn, HM the King sent his greetings and best wishes to the Indian President and Prime Minister, as well as to the people of India, for ongoing development and prosperity.
