Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a delegation of members of the United States Congress, headed by US Senator Markwayne Mullin, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on the development of longstanding historic relations between Bahrain and the United States. His Majesty expressed Bahrain's pride in its strategic relations and strong partnership with the US, emphasizing the Kingdom's aspiration to further strengthen and advance these relations at all levels.
His Majesty also recognized the efforts of the US Naval Forces Central Command in maintaining maritime security and protecting international navigation in the region. He praised the role of the American community in Bahrain and its contributions to various areas of development. Moreover, HM King Hamad highlighted the United States's role in maintaining regional security and stability and promoting global peace, particularly commending the efforts of President Donald Trump to advance peace both regionally and globally.
The US Congress delegation, for their part, expressed appreciation to His Majesty for his commitment to further consolidating the historic partnership and strengthening Bahraini-American relations. They acknowledged Bahrain's vital role and its supportive positions in efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the region and globally.
