HH Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Inaugurates 27th Tabaq Al Khair Festival

Manama: Her Highness Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Honorary President of Al Noor Charity Welfare Society, inaugurated the 27th Tabaq Al Khair (Charity Dish) festival. The event gathered members of the Society, businesswomen, and representatives of the local community.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain's long tradition of community service, noting that charitable initiatives remain an integral part of Bahraini society. Her Highness commended the festival's diverse participation, which supports families in need, orphans, and widows, and funds home renovation and medical aid programmes.

On her part, Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, President of Al Noor Charity Welfare Society, said the annual festival aims to assist low-income families through the Society's initiatives covering healthcare, education, and orphan care, as well as Quran memorisation and cultural programmes. She underlined the importance of continued private sector participation to enhance charitable work.

Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed expressed appreciation for HH Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa's ongoing support, describing the festival as a symbol of social solidarity.

Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Society, said the event provides a platform to showcase Bahraini women's skills in culinary arts and home-made products while preserving the Kingdom's culinary and cultural heritage.

Hanan Saif, Chairperson of the Public Relations and Media committees at the Society, commended the support of HH Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa and Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed in advancing the Society's programmes and enhancing the impact of community volunteering.

Winners in multiple festival categories were recognised for creativity in cooking, presentation, and decoration. Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed presented awards of appreciation to participating organisations, including the Children and Mothers Welfare Society, Women for Jerusalem Society, Shaikha Hessa bint Ali Al Khalifa Centre for Elderly Women Care, and the Basma Quran Memorisation Centre.
