Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, expressed commendation for the royal order designating 2026 as the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer” in honor of Bahrain’s founder of the modern state and a key figure in its institutional development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser emphasized that the initiative reflects His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision to preserve the national memory and promote loyalty and gratitude to Bahrain’s distinguished figures. These figures, with sincerity and wisdom, helped lay the foundations of the modern state, ensured political and social stability, and strengthened Bahrain’s civilisational and humanitarian standing.
HH Shaikh Nasser stated that the national and humanitarian legacy left by His Highness Isa Al Kabeer serves as a source of inspiration for generations and a fundamental pillar for promoting a culture of giving, humanitarian work, and community service. He noted that the national initiatives associated with this year will contribute to deepening awareness of Bahrain’s rich history and reinforcing the spirit of belonging and pride in national identity.
HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his pride in this initiative by His Majesty the King, expressing confidence that it will contribute to continued security, stability, and prosperity for the Kingdom, and support its leadership in advancing the path of development and progress.
