Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, commended the Kingdom of Bahrain's growth in the number of volunteers and youth and community initiatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad highlighted that the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has fostered an environment that encourages innovation and creativity in volunteer work. This support empowers young people to take a leading role in humanitarian and social initiatives both within the Kingdom and abroad.
On International Volunteer Day, which falls on December 5, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad added that humanitarian and volunteer work is a value among Bahraini youth and a pillar of the national identity. His Highness emphasised the contribution of Bahraini youth and their efforts in initiatives implemented by government, private, and civil institutions.
Additionally, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad noted the importance of establishing sustainable volunteer initiatives and providing specialised training and development programmes for volunteers. This ensures the continuity of their impact and transforms volunteer efforts into achievements that serve society.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad highlighted that investing in volunteering is an investment in people and their ability to build, give, and contribute to their country's advancement.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad called on all members of society, regardless of age, to continue this humanitarian approach, promote community participation, and build a brighter future through initiatives to serve the Kingdom, especially within the framework of humanitarian and charitable work, which serves the most vulnerable groups in the Bahraini society.
