Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, actively participated in the Asian Youth Games by attending multiple sporting events. According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad was present at the camel racing competitions held at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, where he also awarded the winners. In addition to camel racing, His Highness attended e-sports, weightlifting, boxing, and table tennis events at the Exhibition World Bahrain. During his visit, he also explored the athletes' village, which houses cultural, heritage, and entertainment activities. HH Shaikh Khalid expressed pride in the dedication and organizational skills of Bahraini youth volunteers and national cadres during the 3rd Asian Youth Games, which the Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting until 31 October. He highlighted Bahrain's readiness to host majo r continental and international sporting events and emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to providing a comprehensive sporting experience for all Asian delegations. His Highness noted the success of the games both organizationally and technically, along with the strong public attendance. He wished all delegations an enjoyable stay in Bahrain and extended his appreciation to the sports federations, participating athletes, and members of the technical and organizing committees. He emphasized that hosting the games is a significant opportunity to discover young champions who will influence the future of Asian and international sports.
