Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, welcomed the Presidents of the Olympic Committees from Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates during their visit to Bahrain for the third Asian Youth Games, held from October 22-31.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad received Sheikh Fahad Nasser Al Ahmad Al Sabah, President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee. His Highness praised the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, noting the cooperation in sports that benefits both nations regionally and internationally.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad also met with Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, emphasizing the close cooperation between the GCC olympic committees. His Highness highlighted their shared commitment to advancing sports in the region.
Additionally, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad received His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee. His Highness praised the strong ties between Bahrain and the UAE and affirmed the shared interest in promoting sports, supporting joint Gulf sporting efforts, and wishing the UAE continued prosperity.
