London: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), participated in the closing ceremony of a course organised by the Gulf Academy for Leaders and Innovation (GALI) in the United Kingdom, in the presence of Prince Turki Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and several senior officials.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Secretary General affirmed that Their Majesties and Highnesses, the Leaders of the GCC states, attach great importance to GCC youth and place investment in their capabilities, skills development, and empowerment among their top priorities. This is based on the firm belief that young people are the main pillar of the future of the GCC states and a key driver of their development and prosperity.
He noted that the GCC states continue to provide a supportive environment for young people, offering opportunities to gain knowledge and experience, develop their capabilities, and turn their ideas and ambitions into initiatives and projects that serve their societies and countries. This approach enables youth to contribute effectively to shaping the future and keep pace with the rapid changes taking place around the world.
The Secretary General expressed his pride in the promising talents, capabilities, and ambitions of GCC youth, stressing that investing in them represents a direct investment in the future of the GCC and its development journey. He wished the course participants success and prosperity and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to those responsible for organising the course for their efforts to achieve its objectives.
