Sepang:Malaysia: The Bahrain International Circuit and Sepang International Circuit are preparing to host tens of thousands of fans for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026. The event, spanning three days from October 2 to 4, will be held at the Sepang International Circuit, marking the return of Formula 1 to Malaysia for the first time since 2017.
According to Bahrain News Agency, tickets for the race weekend are still available through the Bahrain International Circuit's official website or by contacting their hotline. Fans are urged to secure their tickets quickly as the event approaches.
The Sepang International Circuit will open its doors at 8.30am on Friday and Saturday and at 10am on Sunday. The Formula 1 schedule includes two 60-minute practice sessions on Friday, starting at 12.30pm and 4pm local time. Saturday's schedule features a third practice session at 12.30pm, followed by qualifying at 4pm. The 56-lap race will commence on Sunday at 3pm local time.
In addition to Formula 1, the Formula Trophy Malaysia will provide additional racing excitement over the weekend. This junior championship will host practice sessions on Friday, with qualifying on Saturday morning and two 27-lap races later on Saturday and Sunday.
Apart from the racing, the event will offer a variety of family-friendly entertainment at the Fanzone, including performances by Chinese Acrobats, roaming entertainers, and concerts by A-list artists. On Saturday, DJ and producer Axwell will perform, while Martin Garrix will headline the Sunday post-race celebrations.
Concert tickets are available exclusively to race-weekend ticket holders and can be purchased separately for each performance on the Bahrain International Circuit's website. The Sepang International Circuit will close at 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 6pm on Sunday.
