Bahrain Motor Federation Praised for Formula 1 Race Preparations in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur:FIA Formula 1 Race Director Rui Marques has praised the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) for its preparations for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which will be held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia from October 2 to 4.According to Bahrain News Agency, Marques attended a meeting with BMF officials and highlighted the cooperation between BMF and the Bahrain International Circuit. He expressed confidence in Bahrain's ability to organize the race, noting the unique challenge presented by hosting a race belonging to one country in another country for the first time in Formula 1 history.At the meeting, BMF officials discussed their coordination efforts and reviewed on-site preparations at the Sepang circuit. Bahraini marshals were assigned their roles, and operational exercises are planned to ensure readiness. The officials expect an exciting race given the competition among drivers and the anticipated large turnout, as it will be Sepang's first Formula 1 race since 2017.T o ensure safety, a precautionary evacuation exercise was conducted at the Bahraini delegation's accommodation, successfully completed with Malaysian civil defence officials present. The BMF team includes young marshals Rakan Janahi and Yousif Ahmed, who are eager to gain experience and encourage other Bahraini youth to pursue similar opportunities. They thanked the BMF and the Ministry of Education for their support in facilitating their participation.
