Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Ben Black, Chief Executive Officer of the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The dialogue focused on enhancing the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United States, exploring avenues for deeper collaboration in economic sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting highlighted the advanced level of cooperation between the two nations and identified opportunities for further development in investment and economic domains. The discussions underscored the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation to address mutual interests.

Both parties shared insights on how recent disruptions in maritime navigation through critical waterways such as the Strait of Hormuz, Bab Al Mandab, and the Red Sea could influence the global economy and international trade.
Ambassador Saeed Abdulkhaliq Saeed, Chief of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was in attendance, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic and economic coordination between Bahrain and the US.
