The two leaders engaged in a critical dialogue addressing pressing regional issues.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the conversation focused on the ongoing Iranian attacks against Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. These attacks have targeted critical infrastructure, vital facilities, and civilians, raising regional security concerns. The ministers discussed the implications of Iran's continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which poses significant threats to global energy and food supplies, and consequently, the world economy.
Furthermore, both ministers explored prospects for enhanced bilateral coordination and consultation within the United Nations Security Council. This dialogue is particularly significant in light of Bahrain's current membership on the Council. They exchanged views on key international issues under discussion and matters of mutual interest, underscoring their commitment to preserving regional security and stability.
