New York:Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in a dialogue session organized by the Atlantic Council in collaboration with the Europe-Gulf Forum. The event, titled "Fostering Gulf-Europe Partnerships for Regional Security and Prosperity," was held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Zayani was appointed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to represent Bahrain at the session. The dialogue focused on enhancing economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and European countries. It also explored partnerships in energy security, digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development.
The session addressed political, security, and economic challenges facing the region and the global community. It underscored the importance of continued dialogue and coordination between the Gulf and Europe, emphasizing support for diplomatic efforts to resolve conflicts and advance security, peace, and shared prosperity.
Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Rowaie, Bahrain's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Ambassador Saeed Abdulkhaliq Saeed, Chief of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector, were also present at the event.
