Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Bahrain's representatives to the Advisory Board of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), led by Dr. Shaikha Mariam bint Hassan Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Women.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation also included Ali Abdulla Al Aradi, Dr. Hassan Eid Bukhammas, Ahmed Sabah Salman Al Salloom, and Sabeeka Khalifa Al Fadhala. The Foreign Minister commended the Advisory Board's role in promoting joint Gulf action through specialized studies commissioned by the GCC Supreme Council, along with the proposals and recommendations to enhance integration and coordination among GCC member states. These efforts are seen as contributing significantly to advancing the directives of the GCC leaders and fulfilling the aspirations of the Gulf people for continued development and prosperity.
The meeting also addressed issues related to the GCC's operations and discussed strategies to further strengthen joint Gulf cooperation. This aims to support the Council's ongoing progress, respond effectively to evolving regional and international developments, and promote the shared interests of GCC member states and their citizens.
Members of the Advisory Board expressed their gratitude for Bahrain's ongoing support for the GCC, especially during the Kingdom's current presidency of the Council. They reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Gulf integration and achieving the goals of joint GCC action.
