Manama:The longstanding cooperation between Bahrain's executive and legislative authorities plays a crucial role in national efforts, according to Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs. This collaboration reflects complementary roles and shared visions aimed at serving the nation, citizens, and safeguarding Bahrain's security and stability.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Buainain emphasized that this institutional approach is grounded in the development principles established by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and guided by directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The cooperation enhances national efforts through responsibility, coordination, and institutional partnership.
He further highlighted the resilience of this cooperation during the period of Iranian attacks, when legislative work continued unhindered. The Shura Council and Council of Representatives held 18 sessions, exercising their legislative and oversight powers for the benefit of the nation.
During the same period, parliamentary and legislative activities included processing five decree-laws, 24 draft laws, five proposed laws, 32 parliamentary questions, and 44 proposals. The government provided 46 responses to parliamentary questions and 143 responses to proposals, demonstrating effective coordination and continuity in addressing national priorities.
Minister Al Buainain noted that these efforts reflect the strength of Bahrain's institutional framework and the active participation of the Shura Council and Council of Representatives in expressing citizens' aspirations. He emphasized the ongoing commitment to building on this cooperation to support national efforts and enhance the Kingdom's development and prosperity.
