Manama: The Ministry of Information's Equal Opportunities Committee held its fourth meeting of 2025, chaired by Abdulrahman Khalid Ahmed Al Midfaa, Assistant Undersecretary for News and Regulatory Affairs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee reviewed key initiatives carried out this year to support women and promote gender balance across the ministry's departments, in line with the annual work plan and follow-up from previous meetings.
The discussions also included the media coverage plan for Bahraini Women's Day, prepared in coordination with the Supreme Council for Women (SCW). This plan outlines the main programmes and coverage to be produced across the ministry's platforms. Additionally, the committee reviewed ongoing work on Equal Opportunities reports and coordination with the SCW on joint courses and programmes.
The committee expressed appreciation for the support of Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, highlighting his commitment to reinforcing equal-opportunity principles, advancing the role of women in the media sector, and ensuring a supportive environment for their effective contribution to national development.
