Egypt and Germany Engage in Talks to Boost Bilateral Cooperation

Cairo: Egypt and Germany are in discussions to strengthen their bilateral relations across various fields. Badr Abdelatty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates, recently met with Reem Alabali-Radovan, the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, to explore opportunities for collaboration.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Abdelatty emphasized the significant contribution of the Egyptian community in Germany to the ties between the two nations. He noted their role in fostering bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors. Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's involvement in the energy and development sectors and its significant contribution to promoting peace and security within the continent.

Additionally, Abdelatty expressed Egypt's interest in enhancing cooperation in Africa, particularly through initiatives like the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping, and Peacebuilding (CCCPA). During the meeting, he also provided insights into the Suez and Red Sea Initiative (STREAM), detailing its objectives to integrate economic, developmental, and environmental frameworks and to strengthen capacity-building among the states bordering the Red Sea.
