Manama:Shura member Dr. Adel Al Maawda, representing the Arab Parliament, has made a call for enhanced Arab parliamentary coordination to tackle regional security challenges. His focus is on countering foreign interference in domestic conflicts and ensuring the sovereignty and independence of Arab states.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Maawda emphasized the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in aligning Arab positions and fostering political and diplomatic solutions during a meeting of the Arab Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Political Affairs and National Security.
The committee also reviewed a proposed Arab parliamentary vision aimed at addressing foreign interference in local conflicts. Additionally, they explored ways to strengthen cooperation with the Pan-African Parliament, following an official visit by a committee delegation. Bahrain's active participation underscores the Kingdom's dedication to collective Arab parliamentary efforts, peaceful conflict resolution, and maintaining regional security and stability.
