Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, chaired the regular meeting of the Water Resources Council. The meeting focused on evaluating the progress of the National Water Strategy (2021-2030), highlighting efforts in the crucial water sector. The strategy's indicators, projects, and initiatives have reached an overall completion rate of 86.5%.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the strategy includes 40 initiatives, with 23 completed and 17 still under implementation as per the approved timelines. Relevant ministries provided detailed briefings on their contributions to the strategy, outlining the progress made in implementing components within their responsibilities. This integrated approach aims to enhance water security through coordinated government efforts.
