Deputy Prime Minister Chairs Meeting to Advance Real Estate and Infrastructure Projects

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, chaired the 288th meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure. During the meeting, the committee discussed plans to ensure the sustainability of the real estate sector and enhance its competitiveness, reviewing key performance indicators and the achievements of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority over the past year.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee also discussed developments in the implementation of national waste management strategies and progress on projects and initiatives related to recycling.

In addition, the committee followed up on updates to the rehabilitation of commercial complexes and central markets under the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, including projects to upgrade associated infrastructure and sewage networks. These efforts aim to ensure capacity to accommodate growing commercial activity and to provide improved services for visitors.

The committee further reviewed a report on the performance of the Project Management Office at the Ministry of Works, as well as outcomes of participation in the Bahrain Geospatial Data Convention 2026.
