Manama: Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of Customs Affairs, engaged with representatives from several international companies and institutions during the Gateway Gulf 2025 Forum. The meeting aimed to enhance collaboration and discuss initiatives to support the private sector.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Ahmed highlighted that Customs Affairs is dedicated to aiding the private sector by offering a variety of customs facilitations. These initiatives are designed to ensure seamless trade flow and efficient movement of goods and services through Bahrain's ports, aligning with the Kingdom's goals for sustainable economic growth.
Shaikh Ahmed also emphasized the ongoing modernization of customs systems and procedures in accordance with international standards. This modernization is intended to foster an efficient and competitive business environment, strengthening Bahrain's status as a regional logistics and trade hub.
The discussions further delved into Bahrain's efforts to facilitate the establishment and expansion of investment projects, along with exploring the experiences of global companies in e-commerce and digital trade.
