Manama:His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has announced an initiative allowing Bahraini citizens to register retroactively in the Electricity and Water Authority's (EWA) monthly Fixed Billing System for their primary residences, starting from May of this year.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this directive includes crediting the full difference between bills issued during the covered period and the average monthly bill for the year back to citizens' accounts with the Authority.
This measure is intended to help citizens manage their financial commitments concerning electricity and water expenses more effectively, minimizing the impact of fluctuating bill amounts throughout the year. Additionally, the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs has been tasked with implementing the necessary measures to execute this order.
