Gudaibiya: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, met with Commodore Dan Thomas, the newly appointed Commander of the UK Maritime Component Command ME, at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting underscored the strong strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, focusing on military and defense cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the significance of continuous efforts to enhance cooperation and further the longstanding bilateral relations and joint agreements, such as the Comprehensive Security and Integrated Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), to achieve mutual objectives. He acknowledged the UK's critical role, alongside allied nations, in ensuring regional and global security and stability.
His Royal Highness welcomed Commodore Thomas to Bahrain and offered his best wishes for success in his new role. The meeting also covered the latest regional and international developments, strategies to strengthen bilateral relations, and topics of mutual interest.
