Riffa:His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, met with the heads of delegations participating in the 126th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the GCC States. The meeting, held at the Riffa Palace, also included the Governors of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Central Banks, Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, and Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was part of the joint discussions between GCC Ministers of Finance and the IMF, with Bahrain hosting the event as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, known as the "Bahrain Summit."
His Royal Highness emphasized Bahrain's commitment to supporting GCC projects and initiatives, particularly in the economic and financial sectors, as guided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He noted that these efforts enhance GCC cooperation and integration, aligning with the visions of the GCC leaders.
The meeting also involved an exchange of greetings between the GCC leaders and His Majesty the King and the Crown Prince. His Royal Highness reiterated the importance of reinforcing joint GCC efforts and adhering to the directives of GCC leaders to further advance regional cooperation.
The attending delegations, including Governors of GCC Central Banks, the Secretary General of the GCC, and the IMF Managing Director, expressed their appreciation for Bahrain's leadership in promoting GCC cooperation. They also wished the Kingdom continued success and prosperity.
The event was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, along with several senior officials.
