Sepang:Malaysia: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with the Bahraini organisers of the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event, marking its 22nd edition, is being hosted in Malaysia with the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
Prince Salman highlighted the role of Bahrain's people as the Kingdom's greatest asset, acknowledging their representation and contributions in various fields. He praised the national workforce for its talent and expertise, which reflect Bahrain's competencies and vision.
During the visit, His Royal Highness was informed about the accompanying initiatives, including the "Bahrain Village," which displays the Kingdom's cultural and tourism assets. He also interacted with Bahraini marshals and organisers, noting their ability to uphold high standards in hosting international events.
His Royal Highness expressed gratitude for the efforts of various organisations and individuals involved in the Grand Prix's organisation, including governmental ministries, the Bahrain International Circuit, and local media outlets.
Prince Salman conducted a tour of the team and track areas, meeting with senior Formula 1 figures and reviewing preparations for the race. He conveyed the importance of investing in the national workforce to further Bahrain's achievements.
The Grand Prix organisers thanked Prince Salman for his support, emphasizing that his leadership provides motivation to enhance their contributions to Bahrain's progress.
