Coast Guard Leads Joint Inspection Campaign on Diving Shops

Manama: The Coast Guard Command conducted a joint inspection campaign on several diving shops. This operation was carried out in cooperation with the Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to enhance maritime security and safety, and to ensure that establishments comply with relevant laws and regulations.

The Coast Guard Command highlighted that the campaign focused on verifying the validity of legal licences and ensuring equipment meets safety standards, alongside checking the status of workers and their official permits, thereby guaranteeing a regulated and safe working environment.

The Command emphasised that these joint campaigns reflect the coordination and integration between various security and regulatory bodies, aimed at raising compliance levels with legal requirements and promoting maritime safety.

It also noted that necessary legal measures have been taken against any violations identified during the inspections.
