Riyadh:The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has issued a warning to the Houthi militia regarding the use of traditional maritime vessels for the smuggling of weapons, missiles, and military equipment. This activity poses a significant threat to the security of Yemen, as well as to regional and international stability, thereby endangering civilian lives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Coalition has specifically identified vessels such as Za'ima, Huri, Jalbah, and Sanbuq as being used for these illicit activities. The Joint Forces Command has also called on maritime vessel owners to refrain from cooperating with the Houthi militia in these smuggling operations, emphasizing the importance of protecting both their lives and their property.
The warning comes amid ongoing concerns about the impact of weapon smuggling on the security situation in Yemen and its potential to destabilize the broader region. The Coalition's alert aims to curb these activities and safeguard the safety of civilians in the affected areas.
