CEO of NCST Receives Japanese Ambassador to Discuss Technological Collaboration

Manama: Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, CEO of the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology (NCST), met with Asako Okai, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting reviewed prospects for cooperation in education, vocational training, and artificial intelligence (AI) development to support technological transformation and human capital.

According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions focused on partnership opportunities, advanced training programmes, and aligning education with the needs of key sectors, including industry, energy, and advanced technology. Dr. Al Nuaimi outlined the centre's vision of fostering innovation, smart technologies, and 21st-century skills, emphasising international cooperation as a strategic priority.

For her part, the Ambassador praised the centre's initiatives, including its AI research led by Bahraini youth, and highlighted Japan's commitment to knowledge transfer, capacity building, and strengthening bilateral cooperation to support sustainable development.
