Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the latest monthly issuance of the Sukuk Al Salam Islamic securities has been oversubscribed by an impressive 206%.
According to Bahrain News Agency, subscriptions amounting to BD 88.783 million were received for the BD 43 million issuance. This particular issue carries a maturity period of 91 days. The expected return on the issue, which commences on March 12 and concludes on June 11, is set at 5.20%, slightly lower than the 5.38% return of the preceding issue dated February 12.
The Sukuk Al Salam securities are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This issuance is marked as issue No.287 (BH0009574912) within the short-term Sukuk Al Salam series.
