Abu Dhabi:HE Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, participated in the 50th meeting of the Council of Arab Central Banks and Monetary Authorities' Governors on September 29 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.According to Central Bank Of Bahrain, the meeting served as a platform to enhance cooperation and coordination among Arab central banks and monetary authorities, especially in the context of evolving global and regional developments. HE Humaidan emphasized the significance of such meetings in fostering knowledge sharing, exchanging best practices, and supporting efforts to bolster financial stability and economic resilience in the Arab region.HE Humaidan took part in a session titled 'Framework for Strengthening Financial Stability and Macroprudential Policy in Arab Countries.' Here, he shared insights from Bahrain's experience in addressing recent regional developments to strengthen the resilience of its financial sector.Additionally, he participated in the first session of a high-level roundtab le titled 'Macroeconomic Resilience Amid Geopolitical Turmoil.' This session gathered Central Bank Governors to discuss policy responses to recent geopolitical challenges.The gathering focused on key priorities related to monetary and financial stability in the Arab region, with discussions on strengthening financial stability and macroprudential policy frameworks, advancing regional financial initiatives, and reviewing important institutional and governance developments to support a resilient and integrated Arab financial system.
