Capital Governor Inspects Community Centres in Manama

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, visited several maatams (community centres) in Manama to review the ongoing preparations and assess on-the-ground needs. He emphasised the Governorate's commitment to providing the necessary support and facilities in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure Ashoora's success.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Humood said that the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for Ashoora reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to safeguarding religious freedoms and consolidating the values of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for sectarian diversity.

He commended the follow-up given by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the various organisational and service-related aspects of Ashoora, which contributes to providing a suitable atmosphere for marking this religious occasion amid the security and stability enjoyed by the Kingdom.

The Capital Governor also commended the cooperation between the heads of the maatams and the relevant authorities, noting that this cooperation demonstrates national responsibility and contributes to the success of Ashoora and the strengthening of community partnership.
