BTF Organises Training Course on “Doubles Play Strategies”

Manama: The Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) organised a specialised training course titled "Doubles Play Strategies", led by federation coach Islam Ashour, as part of its training and development programmes to enhance players' technical skills and knowledge of modern tennis techniques.According to Bahrain News Agency, the course included theoretical and practical sessions covering key strategies and techniques for doubles competition, player movement, coordination and communication between teammates, and handling different tactical situations during matches.During the practical sessions, Ashour demonstrated the techniques and strategies discussed, allowing participants to apply the concepts and learn how to use them during competitions.The initiative is part of the federation's plans to promote tennis among different segments of society, expand participation and increase the sport's popularity in Bahrain through various training and educational programmes.Jameela Al Nashaba, BTF Board Member, commende d the support and guidance of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Federation, noting that his continued support contributes to the success of the federation's plans, enabling the achievement of desired goals in the shortest time possible.Al Nashaba said the training course helps players enhance their technical and tactical skills and gain knowledge of modern tennis techniques.For his part, coach Islam Ashour noted that the course focused on key doubles techniques and strategies, which require strong coordination and quick decision-making between teammates.He added that the course combines theoretical and practical training to help apply these strategies during matches.
