Manama: Bahrain and Kuwait Bank (BBK) has renewed its partnership with Youth City 2030, an initiative organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in collaboration with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). This renewal reaffirms BBK's commitment to developing the capabilities of Bahraini youth and enhancing their role in national development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, the Minister of Youth Affairs, emphasized that the ongoing partnership between BBK and Youth City 2030 highlights the importance of collaboration with leading national institutions. This cooperation supports the expansion and developmental impact of Youth City 2030 programmes. Tawfiqi noted that the partnership has significantly enriched the initiative's programmes over the years by nurturing young talent, strengthening skills, and preparing participants for future opportunities. She underscored that this collaboration exemplifies a successful public-private sector partnership in supporting Bahraini youth.
Yaser Al Sharifi, Group Chief Executive Officer of BBK, stated that the bank is steadfast in its commitment to empowering Bahraini youth through its strategic alliance with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Youth City 2030. He remarked that the initiative offers young individuals opportunities to gain practical skills, develop their ideas, and enhance entrepreneurship, thereby aligning with national efforts to ready qualified national talent for the labour market.
The 15th edition of Youth City 2030, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with strategic partner Tamkeen, features specialised training programmes through five centres. These centres cover a diverse range of fields including science and technology, arts and culture, leadership and entrepreneurship, media and entertainment, and sports and health. The initiative is designed to equip Bahraini youth with the skills and experience necessary for future careers and to meet the needs of the labour market.
