Manama:Volunteering is a crucial aspect of Bahrain's national efforts, reflecting the values of responsibility and participation that are fundamental to its society, according to Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Alawi emphasized the importance of volunteer participation as a testament to the public's awareness and commitment to community service. He noted that the robust community engagement supports Bahrain's comprehensive development process, guided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Minister highlighted the role of the National Volunteering Platform and the 'Bahrain is Well. Because You Are Its People' campaign in organizing and directing community efforts during the Iranian attacks. These initiatives allowed citizens and residents to effectively contribute to national efforts by addressing actual needs.
Minister Al Alawi reported that 70,000 people registered on the volunteering platform, and 1,503 volunteers were assigned to various government entities based on their needs. He also acknowledged the contributions of institutions and companies through different initiatives, showcasing widespread societal cooperation.
The Minister expressed gratitude to all citizens, residents, and private sector entities that volunteered and contributed to national efforts. He praised their strong sense of responsibility and community spirit, which demonstrate the solidarity and cohesion characteristic of Bahraini society.
Minister Al Alawi concluded that this community participation establishes a solid national foundation to further promote a culture of volunteering and giving, instilling these values in future generations.
