Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours. On behalf of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister attended the Bahrain Polytechnic graduation ceremony, highlighting the government’s support for education and future generations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Foreign Minister received a copy of the credentials of the newly appointed Lebanese Ambassador to Bahrain, signifying a step forward in diplomatic relations between the two countries. Meanwhile, the Finance Minister was present at the annual Bahrain Banks Reception, an event central to the financial sector’s networking and development.
Additionally, the Housing Minister engaged with delegations from CMEC and Sinosure, indicating ongoing international collaborations in housing. The Municipalities Minister visited the Seef Downtown development project, reflecting the government’s interest in urban development initiatives.
In the transportation sector, the Transportation Mini
ster participated in the Saudi International Rail Exhibition and Conference in Riyadh, showcasing Bahrain’s active involvement in regional transportation advancements. The Industry Minister also met with the Egyptian Ambassador, underscoring bilateral trade discussions.
Bahrain has taken a significant role on the international stage by officially assuming the presidency of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly for 2026. The Speaker’s participation in the 39th session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union further emphasizes Bahrain’s growing influence in regional politics. A Bahraini parliamentary delegation also took part in a coordination meeting of the PUIC in Geneva.
On the energy front, the President of the Electricity and Water Authority announced the launch of a tender for Bahrain’s first solar power plant, marking a move towards sustainable energy solutions. Lastly, SHIFA and Amanat Healthcare have signed an agreement to provide long-term care services, indicating progress in the healthcare sector.
