Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted a series of diplomatic engagements and national events over the past 24 hours.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King extended congratulations to the President of Guyana, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam on their National Day, and the Emperor of Japan on his birthday. In a display of diplomatic courtesy, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also sent congratulatory messages to the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam and the Emperor of Japan.
Further events included HRH The Deputy King hosting a Ramadan iftar banquet for senior officers of the Bahrain Defence Force and visiting several majlises, underscoring the importance of tradition and community engagement during the holy month.
The Deputy Prime Minister marked Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day anniversary by attending a reception at the Saudi Embassy, reflecting the close ties between the two nations. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement rejecting any infringement by Iraq on Kuwait’s sovereignty over maritime areas.
In other developments, the Interior Minister received the Bahrain Open Challenger organising committee and winners of the MOI Fikra competition, while the Foreign Minister held meetings with the French and Italian Ambassadors, strengthening bilateral relations.
The Information Minister met with the 11th intake of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme, and the Municipalities Minister organized a visit for Ambassadors to the Manama Municipality building and a municipal exhibition.
Additionally, the Industry Ministry, in collaboration with BENEFIT, launched a Commercial Establishments Credit Rating Platform and granted the “Green Factory Seal” to over 40 factories, emphasizing efforts towards sustainability.
