Manama: Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Trust Foundation celebrated its 15th anniversary, coinciding with International Volunteer Day. The event highlighted the foundation's achievements and ongoing commitment to charitable initiatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the celebration was attended by Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, who praised HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim's support for development and charitable work. The event emphasized the importance of volunteers in implementing charitable projects both in Bahrain and internationally.
HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad acknowledged the foundation's achievements over the past 15 years, which have established a model of community partnership and humanitarian work. She expressed gratitude to the volunteers, partners, and supporters who have contributed to the foundation's mission.
Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, underscored the significance of celebrating the foundation's anniversary alongside International Volunteer Day as a testament to the value of volunteering in development efforts.
Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Balooshi and Dr. Faten Ibrahim Al Moayyed of the Bahrain Trust Foundation's Board of Trustees highlighted the foundation's journey and its focus on projects that address community needs. They expressed thanks to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim for her continuous support of the foundation's educational and social projects.
Dr. Al Balooshi noted the foundation's initiatives, including hospital schools for sick children, community centres, and various educational and cultural programmes. Dr. Al Moayyed announced plans to establish a charitable sustainability fund and digital platforms to further support the foundation's projects.
The event featured a segment celebrating volunteer achievements and included a speech by the United Nations Volunteers. HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim was honoured for her patronage, represented by HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad.
The celebration concluded with an exhibition tour, showcasing the foundation's key programmes and initiatives over the past 15 years.
