Riyadh: The Kingdom of Bahrain won the bronze medal in Judo at the ongoing Sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh when Ruslan Poltoratski clinched bronze in the under-60kg category, marking Bahrain's strong entry into the medal standings and a promising start in the Games.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the day also featured notable performances from Bahrain in various sports. The Bahrain volleyball team achieved a victory over Saudi Arabia in a match that demonstrated their readiness and determination. Meanwhile, Bahrain's men's and women's table tennis teams commenced their tournaments with the aim of maintaining the Kingdom's notable sporting presence in this significant Islamic competition.
The men's table tennis team, however, faced a setback in their opening match, losing to Kazakhstan. Similarly, the women's team was defeated by Iran in their first match of the tournament.
