Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on local events that happened over the past 24 hours. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Kingdom of Bahrain is currently hosting the "Bahrain Shield" joint military exercise, which involves participation from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. The exercise aims to enhance military cooperation and operational readiness among the participating nations.
In other local news, HM King received the credentials of nine new ambassadors to Bahrain. Additionally, HM King received messages of gratitude from HH Amir of Qatar and HE Algerian President. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also received thanks from the Amir of the State of Qatar and expressed gratitude to the President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
In diplomatic engagements, the Interior Minister received the US Ambassador, while the Municipalities Minister visited the Remote Municipal Customer Service Centre. The Youth Minister toured Youth City 2030, and the Transportation Minister held discussions with the Aramex Group CEO.
The Youth Ministry has launched the Year of Isa Al Kabeer Art Exhibition and Competition, showcasing artistic talents within the kingdom. Meanwhile, the High Criminal Court has convicted 14 individuals in four terrorism-related cases and two individuals in separate cases involving support for Iranian terrorist activities. Additionally, two individuals received sentences in a case involving violence and sabotage. The Public Prosecution has also appealed against an acquittal in a terrorism financing case.
