Manama: As part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's chairmanship of the 46th session of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Lulwa Rashid Shuwaiter, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, chaired the 12th preparatory meeting of Undersecretaries of Ministries of Health of the GCC countries. The meeting was held as part of the preparations for the ministerial meeting of Their Excellencies and Highnesses the Ministers of Health.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Undersecretary expressed appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the General Secretariat of the GCC and the member states in supporting the progress of joint Gulf cooperation. She emphasized the importance of these meetings in enhancing health cooperation and advancing efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of health systems and services, in line with the GCC countries' aspirations to achieve sustainable development.
During the meeting, the health-related topics on the agenda were reviewed, and the latest developments concerning them were discussed. The meeting also addressed the recommendations of technical committees and joint working groups, as well as efforts to prepare draft resolutions and recommendations to be submitted to Their Excellencies and Highnesses the Ministers of Health.
