Antalya:The Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) is actively participating in the International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), which is being held under the theme "The World Needs More Space."
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini delegation is led by Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Asiri, BSA CEO. The team is presenting 13 initiatives showcasing the agency's advancements in research and development and its efforts to develop and localize advanced space technologies.
The delegation is involved in significant events such as the Third World Space Leaders Summit and the fifth meeting of heads of space agencies from countries that are part of the Artemis Accords. BSA representatives are also contributing as speakers in various sessions and engaging in bilateral meetings with other space agencies and companies to explore cooperation and joint projects.
Bahrain's participation underscores its expanding role in the space sector and its commitment to fostering international partnerships in science, technology, and innovation. The goal is to leverage space capabilities to support sustainable development.
Key members of the delegation include Amal Al Binali, Director of Strategic Planning and Project Management, and Yaqoub Al Qassab, Space Engineering Specialist.
