Arusha:Bahrain's Parliamentary Division took part in the opening of the 153rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in Arusha, Tanzania, from October 5 to 9. The delegation was led by Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the assembly's opening ceremony included speeches by Mwigulu Nchemba, Prime Minister of Tanzania, and Tulia Ackson, Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania and IPU President. They welcomed the parliamentary delegations and expressed Tanzania's pride in hosting the event.
The Bahraini delegation also included Shura Council member Hala Ramzy Fayez, deputy head of the delegation, along with MPs Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, Zainab Abdulameer Khalil, and Ali Saqr Al Doseri.
